The hospital design showcases an exciting combination of small boxes within a larger box. The front elevation is designed as a sustainable buffer with an open gesture towards the sky. The external sun louvers prevent the heat ingress by 50% and ascertain adequate natural light in the entire building. The spaces enclosed are further articulated by the interplay of light and shade.
The central lobby with staircase forms the circulation core, providing quick access to all spaces. This nucleus is subjected to natural ventilation resulting in all spaces receiving passive cooling. The unique placement of the services guarantees maximum flexibility to all other utilities. Thus functionally each room ends up receiving an equal consequence and finest aesthetic treatment.
